We are a Reformed Baptist Church affiliated with the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA). With these sister churches we are involved in cooperative efforts in Home Missions, Foreign Missions, Theological Education, and Publications. This affiliation also means that we are accountable to sister churches of like mind. We are also affiliated with the Midwest Reformed Baptist Association which gives us opportunity four times a year for prayer and fellowship with sister churches.

OUR TEACHING

The pulpit ministry is predominately the exposition of Bible books. A book is selected and then week by week a paragraph, verse, or chapter is explained and applied. In this way the whole counsel of God is taught to the people of God. There is also a continual emphasis on calling sinners to repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in the pulpit ministry.

OUR WORSHIP

A reverent joyfulness characterizes our worship services. We love to sing Psalms and hymns using both a hymnal and a psalter in our worship. The word of God is central in the worship at Sycamore along with prayer and the observances of the ordinances.

OUR MISSION

We long to see the gospel conquer men's hearts. To that end we encourage personal evangelism, are involved in supporting foreign missionaries, planting churches at home, and preaching at a local mission. We also place a high priority on the edification of the saints which is accomplished through the teaching of God's Word both publicly and privately in at least a yearly visit to each member's home by an elder. The glory of God is our aim in all of this.

OUR FELLOWSHIP

We have that a church that cares for its members. There are organized opportunities to be involved in hospitality with what we call conversational dinners, baby showers are given for first time mothers, bridal showers, meals for the sick, and a benevolent fund that is used to meet needs of the poor.
